I got a sizable one on my knee from when I was 7 or 8. Racing a policecar on my bike... Wheel got caught in between the grass and the cement... Skidded about 6 feet on the knee. Quite a disgusting one.The skin didn't heal right. Dad didn't have any first aid shit. Had to use a wash rag to staunch the blood.

One on the inside of my hand from when my dad and I got locked out the house. I was small enough to fit through the doggie door and unlock the front from inside... Unfortunatly there was glass all over the floor. Big shard got stuck in my hand... No clue when I got that one.

Bunch of others... Forgot the stories.

A friend of mine runs a site called Scarmageddon (http://www.scarmageddon.com) that's mostly a huge collection of scar pictures and the stories that accompany them. It's weird that people can always seem to 'connect' when talking about the ways they've been disfigured through life.

I've got a doozy where I jumped over a log on a scout camp and somehow came down on a stick that pierced the front of my leg just above my ankle. It's one of those scars that looks like tofu.

Seven years and still scar free? Dude, you're way overdue!

Awesome post. It reminds me of something from a few years ago. As a joke and at my prompting, a co-worker started a shortlived website on Geocities called Mystery Injuries. He had a cut on his hand and had no idea how he got it. The second mystery injury he posted was concerning Attack Of The Clones (giving you perspective of how long ago this was). It was a picture of Amidala with her back cut and shirt ripped. It was a while before the movie came out, so at the time it was still a mystery to us. Those were the only injuries on the site, as it never caught on.
