Roger Federer, the most dominate athlete in all of sport
The AP alludes to why: “By reaching the June 10 [French Open] final, Federer would play in his eighth major title match in a row, something no man has done. Not Laver. Not Pete Sampras. Not Bjorn Borg. No one.” Even then, Federer — who is only 25 — has already won 10 majors placing him number three on the list of male tennis players with most singles major championship wins, right above Agassi and quickly closing in on Sampras. Whether you like tennis or not, behold the most dominate athlete alive. He’s leagues better than Tiger or anyone else for that matter and may prove to be the best player in history. Amazing.

Federer may be the most dominant athlete alive, but in my books he won’t be the greatest tennis player of all time until he beats Nadal on clay. If and when that happens, I’m ready to call Federer the greatest.
By the way, love the picture. Would you have been a little scared playing at that altitude?

Blake I’ll have to disagree with you on this one buddy. The reason being is that the best athletes in the world do not play tenis. Meaning Federer does not play against the best possible competition. He is the best tenis player in the world hands down, but his domination is a due to the watered down talent in the sport.

That’s a really good point, Tim. Without being able to prove how “watered down” tennis athletes may or may not be, I’ll stick to my original claim.
