Must. Resist. iPhone 3G.

Unless they’ve fixed the faux keyboard, that is. Otherwise, 8GB + GPS + 3G + accelerometer + 2MP camera + iPod Video + iPhone + lengthy batter life for $199 with a two-year contract sounds really enticing.

Bastards!!! I new the 3G was coming and didn’t care when I bought my iPhone 45 days ago, but $200 bones cheaper… come on. Me thinks I got screwed. Good thing I didn’t pay full price for mine.

I was already fully prepare to resist a slimmer phone, the 3G, even the Exchange Server compatibility, but man, that $199 starting price tag is going to be tough, especially if they’ll give further discounts if I switch from Verizon to AT&T.

@mark:
Not $200 cheaper. Its $200. Period. Meknows you got screwed.
I think I’d pick one up if I could get it on Verizons service.

@Chris:
Original iPhone 16G=$499
New 3g iPhone 16G=$299
$200 bones cheaper. I still got screwed like a bad prom date with no lube. Thanks Apple

$199 iPhone + ($10 per month extra for 3G speed plan x 24 months) = $439 for the new iPhone vs the “old” 8GB iPhone at $399
They’re totally making up the “half the price” thing they’re touting.
Regardless, still about the same price as a BlackBerry Curve via Verizon these days.

I just hope that my wife & I can get one each, not one per household…
