Thanks for the feedback. I suppose the only thing I should really fear at this point in my life is my 17 year old daughter...

David,

I used ehealth insurance and was very pleased. You can find all different types of insurance and the price depends on how great of coverage you need/want.

Lindsey
(Blake's wife)

David,

We pay $290/month for three people with Select Health. I know my wife got the stup up insurance even so it could be a bit cheaper.

And though scary, paying for health insurance while self-employeed isn't that big of a deal (assuming you have good health). Really, its not as scary as society makes it out to be.

So do you use those online tools to find health insurance policies (I'm assuming that you don't have a employer policy)? If so, do they offer good coverage? Are they expensive? One of my concerns about going full-time with my start-up is the cost of health insurance. Having seven dependents without reasonable insurance is a bit scary.

A few corrections my love:

1. We never received a letter stating that our policy had been canceled. I called early January to ask a question about our benefits. This is when I was told. Had I not called, who knows how long it would have been before we knew.

2. They told me that they had never received payment and that they showed no proof of cashing our checks. I had to request copies from our bank and fax them to BlueCross before they would even look into it.
