A thought on teamwork (or running a business)

An associate and I recently had a discussion on why companies fail, and I left the conversation with the following thought: “Recognize your weaknesses to fill in the gaps with the proper personnel.” While the idea may be trite, it’s a true principle.

    I cringe to say this knowing some will view it as a shameless promotion…

    …but why, if it’s so universally known that having the right people on staff is such a critical business move, that companies are unwilling to spend the money and time to Attract, Recruit and Retain the right people?

    because they see people as expenses and not assets.
